The heart of the matter is the matter of the heart

Ahh, the post everyone had been waiting for...
It's finally here.

WARNING:
Especially to those who can't stand the sight blood,
I suggest you skip this entry.

So, I woke up early to get to tuition with Mr Liew Chee Loong.

We did some revision on the photosynthesis chapter.

And after that, we got down to business.
*evil laughs*

Made sure we knew where the parts were.

And whatever we've learnt in form 4 to 5 was a little disappointing because the various parts they never mentioned and the way the oxygenated and deoxygenated blood flow was a little new for us today.

Sheesh, the MOE should let us know those details earlier and didn't need to prolong us from knowing till we're form 6 wert.
I felt that it wasn't necessary to do so, could be misleading.

Here's the clearer picture. I like this diagram :)

So.... we're done doing theory, let's get practical.

Omg.... yikes.

You know what we learnt in form 5 was, the human's heart was the size of our fist?
I dunno, after holding it and looking at the picture, I'm not too sure anymore.
Or perhaps this pig had a big heart?
Aww too bad, it could've been the next Babe.

The comparison. Hmmm.

Blood clots in the channels.
The aorta's channel is huge, that's why our heart can pump the blood well to our entire body.
See, our fingers can go through.

Cut, cut, cut....
I wonder how people eat these hearts. Disgusting.

Take out those blood clots so that we can see better.
A lil' eww.

The valves and chordaes. Man, those "rubber bands" are strong okay.
And the blood clots on the side look just like period.
LOL.

Blood, blood, blood...

Check out those cardiac muscles. Very tough and strong.
Still very bloody.

Dr. Melissa Yap, the heart surgeon.
Hahaa, man, this pig had a big heart lar. Kesian.

And after getting cleaned up, we experimented the microorganisms that we studied earlier on.

And this is my beloved.

That's all for this gory day.
Lol, ciao.

Sukantara Part Uno

Hahaa, it was a bittersweet day for me.
For our sukantara part one, it was fun :D
Well, it's not the official sports day, sukantara is where every student have to try every sport and earn points for your house.
It doesn't matter if you're good or not.

We had 100m run, 400m run for everyone and tug-of-war for the guys.
Our shot putt and high jump points were already taken down last week.

Now that I look back, I can't seem to believe that I actually used to do high jumps then, but I slowly lost it after not participating much anymore.

BUT come to think of it, with that weight and height, how did I do it??
LOL.

And I will be representing my house in shot putt, heh, no surprise there.

Girls and guys getting taklimat before we start.

The thing that wasn't really pleasant was, our school field is kinda under construction.

So, to save our school shoes from being smuddered in mud, most of us decided to go bare-footed.

The running was very refreshing, didn't run for such a long time since form 5.
I kinda lost it, lol, I've done better.

Get set, GO!

400M - SECOND lap.
Can't believe it ya?
LOL.

Natural-spa treatment?
Lol.

Everyone got kinda shocked when they saw me running at such a fast speed, hahaa.
Honestly, I'm not fast but I've got stamina :)

Tug-of-war only for the guys today.
It'll be the girl's turn this Thursday :)

Lol, I dunno whose hands are those, but it's just funny the way the green house peeps just collapse after their victory, lol.

Yi Shin :D

Khatijah aka Cat! Sweet sweet girl :)

And the birthday girl today! :D
The lucky star, Su Peng.
Ohh, yes she's blessed indeed!
Boy, she received lots of really nice gifts...
But only one gift of her's made me go "hmmm".

. . . . . . . . .
Dunno what to say ya?
It's Mr. Pee! LOL.

It's a fan, so you kinda have to urrm, squash that orange dude's whinny to get some wind.
"Press to receive some good blowing", LOL.
But, I guess this encourages her to overcome her fear of sick men today?
Or something else?
LOL, whatever! xD

Yes, for sukantara, every student must participate in every sport,
no matter if you're good or not...

Except for Chee Keong and Shariff I suppose.
And Steven ponteng-ed.
Benson told me cause they talked in Jusco while Ben was working, haha.

The view from my class, windy too :)
It's nice, well, only up to the tree-ish greeny areas, haha.

AND.

Our exit, lol.

Yeah, had to stay back after sukantara somemore cause I had my librarian duties.
Man, damn tired. Kept sleeping and dozing off at random places, LOL.
Sighs, there was a lot of drama today during my duties, enough said. Haha.

So I came back, watched the Tyra Show for a while till Ben called to pick him up from work.
Got some groceries and I fetched him home :)

Happy Thaipusam for the peeps out there, which is tomorrow.
Yeah, it adds another holiday to the calender but I've got Biology tuition in the morning anyways. Might be operating that pig's heart that we had to postpone.
Hahaa, eww.

And Larian DJ will be held this Saturday.
6 kilometers I think. 10km for guys. Haha.

Ohh man, there's still that silly pile of homework to do.
Blarrrh.

I feel like running again :)

To who knows where.

Weak-ends are still WEAK.

I'm tired.
I'm so, so tired.

Big sighs.

It's a Saturday and yet there's a blardy gotong-royong that I HAD TO attend anyways cause I later had to proceed to the Rotary Meeting with the rest of the JB schools.
Hahaa, can you believe it was my first time for this, lol.

I was really pretty shocked.
I went there to find out that the President of the Rotary Club is actually my old best friend, Sumita's, dad.
LOL. What a small world.

And as the meeting proceeded, suddenly Jessica, Jesper's sister came walking in.
She's also a rotracter. Can't go anywhere without being a total stranger huh?
Hahaa..

The conclusion of the meeting was good, we got to lay everything out.
We had Convent, SIGS, SSI, SAB and SDJ together.
Let's just say taht we have many things in common and we can click.
Hahaa, good stuff :)

Only came back from school at about 5.30PM, on a Saturday.
Oh Lord, please don't let me go on like this.

Homework is piling up like diarrhea.
Pressure to do well academically and being active in CCAs for blardy marks.
Sukantara is already next Tuesday and I'm being the hope for my Yellow House in shot putt, lol.
Time is blinking me by yet again.
STPM is getting closer and closer....

Sighs, what could get worse :(

Anyways, I'm finally bringing my baby bass to church once again tomorrow! :D

Whee! It's been so long since I played the bass guitar for service cause I'm constantly needed to serve as a keyboardist or worship leader.

I'm sad to feel that my bass skills are slowly slipping out of my grasp.
Tear :(

LIFE:
Mel's dealing with it.

I fell outta my bed :/

Wahahaaa, geez!
That didn't happen ever since I was like, four or five?
That one was kinda bad, I fell down from my bed banging my head against the side table.
Ouch :/

This time, I went down with an awakening agony on my left side.
Especially my elbow and knee :/
And Mel oww-ed to sleep... so dumb.
ROFLMAO.

Anyways, we didn't get to operate the pig's heart today - cancelled.
Teacher's caught up, somewhere.

But nevermind! :D
I've got more time to do that silly pile of homework and get ready for worship service this Sunday, managed to call all of them already (:

School was aight today :)
The morning started with us preparing for our school's Christian Fellowship, Day 1 for 2008.
About 70 students showed up, awesome :D
We really had fun and we kept to the time, kudos to our commitee members!

Ooh! And I didn't mention that I got my brother Benson a job last week! :D
He's now working at SONY in Tebrau City, good pay okay...
Actually, he went in earlier to ask for vacancies but they rejected him.

So, he started pushing me out of the shop telling me not to waste time, bla-bla-bla...
That was so agitating, urgh.
Ignoring Ben, I just walked up to one of the many guys there and asked him nicely for vacancies and he gave me the forms immediately!

ROFLMAO.
Benson's jaw dropped.

That nice dude passed me to his supervisor, and so as he was explaining the job to me, I kept nodding in approval... and suddenly passed the forms to Ben who appeared by my side.
LOL. That supervisor looked lost. LOL.

But anyways since he already gave the forms, might as well let Ben fill them up anyways.
Immediately after that, they decided to give him a go and interviewed him!
Hahaa, so that's how he got the job :)
He started last Monday.

Sister's homesick.
Poor girl.
Hang in there aight?
We'll see you on Chinese New Year :)

The weakdays are over, so now for the weak-ends! :D

How's it going?

What's up??
It's the Maal Hijrah holiday today.
Will be going for tuition soon.

Yes, Mel's back to school.
Many things has changed for this new year.
The school's painted afresh, my librarian duties are on again.
I only left school when it was almost 7PM okay, sighs.
New teachers are teaching us for Upper Six, Christian Fellowship starts tomorrow, homework are starting to flow in...

I'm taking Chem and Bio tuition for now, wanna take Maths next week.
Geez, I'm gonna be operating a pig's heart tomorrow... LOL.
I'm excited yet like... eww, lol.
We'll see, hahaa.
I'll try to take pictures... be ready, lol.

I MISS ALL MY BFFs! :(
I miss Sue and Dan too!
But I know Sue definitely doesn't miss...

My bitch.
LOL.
Sue swears it's evil, and that it'll come back for her, lol.

BB is now studying in SMK Ulu Tiram.
He's enjoying himself, cause all his friends are there :)
High school life's his first experience this year.
He has grown, wonder when he'll be shooting up anytime soon.

And I especially miss her.
My blood sister.

I'm heaven sent and she knows it (;
Very well.

The things I do with her hair... lol.

How we dress up together... xD

I know she misses me, lol.
