Butts To School

The holidays are over...
*awwwww*
Back to those thick horrendous books and frustrating assessments again...
*boooooo!*

Nevertheless, it's for my better future yah?
Dammit. I mean uh, oh well.. . hehe.

I ended the holidays by watching Evan Almighty together with my siblings till 2AM.
Ah, at least it ended on a fun good note for us sibs :)

And I really really enjoyed worship leading yesterday for Children's Sunday!
It was awesome. Everyone could bring out that kid inside of us once more, and there wasn't a better time to do it :)

Some pics that ended our hols on brighter notes! :D

WTH??

Freaky Sunday? LOL.
Oh don't we all look so cute? x)

ROFLMAO!!!! XD XD XD
[ i love this pic! ]

*ahem ahem* LOL.

Awww... :)

Sis and I will be leaving for KL tomorrow night or Wednesday evening for EMERGE KL!
wOOt!

Can't wait to catch En Ai flying in the air in the cheerleading routine :D

Ohh, I'll be damn exhausted because I'll be carrying out my librarian duties all the way till 5.30PM++ and reach home at almost 7PM... :(
I'll snooze on my journey to KL then.
The timing's just right too, I'll be carrying out my Chemistry experiment tomorrow before I leave for KL, phew! But sadly I'll be missing Chem tuition on Thursday which I'm paying RM60 each month for, grrr.
We have to make sacrifices I guess?

There may be dance practice later at 6.30PM++ in Skudai.
Man, I'll be so worn out for school the next day.

Oh yeah, which reminds me that I need to pack my bag for KL after my completing my assessment. Okay, okay...

First thing's first, I'll have to finish that DAMN MUET assessment which angers and frustrates me! Danny Boy will be coming to pick it up on his way back later.
Apparently, teacher wants perfection, sniff :(
That's right people, poor Mel.
Continuous re-prints, ink is not cheap you know.. those pretty papers are not white A4 papers, they actually cost a lot you know.... You know, don't you?? Plus the ridiculously quick datelines to meet??!

UGGHH, I ANGER!!!!
RAWR!

Ahh, StinkerBell's Got Me!

Owwhh, I got tagged by the one and only StinkerBell..!
Lol, alright then...

RULES:
Each player of this game starts off with TEN weird habits or little known things about yourself. People who get tagged must write in a blog of their own TEN weird or little known facts about yourself as well as state this rules clearly. At the end, you must choose 6 people to tag and list their names. NO TAG BACKS.

Great, where do I start... urrm..

10 weird habits or little known things about me:

1. "Melissa" is not in my ID because grandma objected to putting it in my birth certificate but my parents called me Melissa since I was born anyway.
It is a Greek name which means Honeybee.
And I was actually almost named Sarah or Gwen. LOL... XD

2. I was born on the 12th of April 1989 at 4.39PM and I was already 8 pounds when I just got out into this world... *gasping? yeah, huge!*
I was never thin my entire life, lol. I hardly eat 'sweet stuff' but I'm still this huge.. T-T

And check this out:
- Melissa, 12 April 1989
- Benson, 12 November 1990 [ 1 year difference from 1st child ]
- Celine, 12 October 1992 [ 2 years difference from 2nd child ]
- Benroy, 1 September 1995 [ 3 years difference from 3rd child ]

I think my parents like the number 12? Lol..
Which becomes one of us siblings' favourite numbers :)

3. I'm a half Hokkien and half Hakka, dad and mum. My family and relatives are too huge to mention in digits.
Very productive, lol.

4. I never dyed, permed or rebonded my hair, tatooed or had more than 2 piercings.
I don't follow trends.

5. I was a Buddhist but received the Lord's salvation when I was nine in 1998 :)
The best thing that ever happened.

6. The piano, bass guitar and the acoustic guitar [G major only, lol] are my fluently-played instruments. I may be musically inclined but I never attended music classes because I play by ear. And nope, my siblings and I are the only generation who are musically inclined, not inherited. Definitely God's gift. I've got no visible double eyelids because they're hidden inside, lol. People say I don't look local or sound local, mostly mistaken for a Korean or Jap. But I'm really not of ANY mix or either lived abroad, ever.

7. I'd break silences by laughing hysterically thinking about events that happened in the past.
I sleep and bathe late, bite the skin off my fingertips [I couldn't anymore after having my braces, I tried really, lol] - bad habits.
And I prefer the computer with internet over the television.

8. I was head over heels for Daniel Radcliffe... but not really anymore.
Britney Spears got me interested to do music professionally.
WTH right... -.-"
She was great when she first came into the industry, eventually became some slut later... and now?
She's bald.

9. Two different people with the same name, Daniel Tan, are my best friends.
One in my childhood, during kindergarten who's now lost.
The other one was from primary 6 till now :)

10. I am in love with someone... for 3 years now.
However, the status is single, but not looking. Thanks.

TAGGING next:
1. Wanda, Alven and Macy
2. Jess and Ben
3. Bryan and Lynette
4. Sue and Daniel
5. Sumin and Hazel
6. YOU :)

Holidays :)

Oooh my tests are finally overrr!
Sighs, honestly, I think I did pretty bad.

Ever experienced sudden re-scheduling for your tests?
Chemistry that was supposed to be at the end of school became the first thing in the morning, while Biology that was supposed to be the first thing in the morning [ which was what I was reading and concentrating on ], would be taken nearing the end of school.

Great isn't it?
Pfft.
I'm so gonna flunk.

OH well, it's done with. And here are the holidays, wOOt!

Other than that, I've been studying my arse off in school, there's just too much distractions for me at home, lol. Really. I can't go anywhere in my house that has a conducive studying environment. Five other people under this roof are everywhere under this small building. Lol.
Oh, plus my dog outside the porch.

In my school, since I'm in the Biology class, we're next door to the Physics class and we're really jiran-jiran yang beramah mesra, as in we constantly visit each other's classes.

And this is the Physics' class favourite pass time:

Observe the only contrasted-coloured guy, hehe.
He's my friend Sharwin, a very good chinese-chess player for an indian ;)
This, my friends, is the Form Six life.
Four-flat results arr guys? Lol.

Well, before this update, we: Sue, Brad, my siblings and I went out together to celebrate Brad's birthday, he came back all the way from KL okay.

He had a blast on his birthday :D

We had fun watching Rush Hour 3, oh gosh, it was hilarious!
THE NUMBER 1 ranked movie in the U.S people :D

[ edited the movie poster cause I didn't really fancy the movie posters available for downloads, this one looks better :D ]

Those scenes were superbly humourous by the way!
Especially when Chris was talking to Master Yu and Mi alongside, LOL.

wOOt!We wanted to catch The Simpsons but the screening was a wee bit too late for us who had curfews. We had a blast anyways, caught up with each other, we had fun :)

OMG, LOL.

Sue's showing off her new phone that looks exactly like his ;)
When will I get a new phone of my own?? :(

Friends forever! :D

So later on, we went over to Starbucks and waited for dad while he did his stuff. It was great hanging out again, we had so much to catch up with one another.

And SUE, PLEASE GIMME HPDH ASAP!
Aku nak habiskan during hols boleh tak?
Hehe.

<--- I like this pic, mwahahaa.

Cheerleading has been cancelled due to the big group of people who suddenly backed out, and things can't work out. Sighs, oh well... it was fun while it lasted.
Actually.. I'm pretty happy about the fact that I don't have to wear those short skirts, LOL.
I hardly wear decent short skirts out, and you want me to dance in shorter skirts and dance with pom poms?

ROFLMAO! XD

If I had a nice body, we can talk about it.
We'll come back to this subject when I get that figure, lol.
Nevertheless, the hip-hop routine is still on!
There'll be practice later at 2PM and dear Moses will come get us :D

Feel the lurrrve!

Oohh, I wanna go out and watch The Simpsons during this hols, can?? :D
I miss you...

Randomel :)

- carcamcraze -

I'm trying really hard to study.... sniff :(
I've promised to do my best, and I don't want to disappoint the people I love.
In another 2 more months, school will be over.
And as for the short term run, my tests are next week...! -.-
Time is REALLY limited, big sighs.

Oh yeahh, good news!
Out of the entire group who were observed during cheerleading practices, only me and my sis were selected among the entire lot to do the hip-hop routine for Emerge KL from the 29th-31st August!
WHOOO! :D

Need to do a lot of stuff, Chemistry experiment tomorrow, need to finish the flyer for the BBQ..
Later :)

Hectic But Hot :)

A big apology to my readers for I've been soooo busy that I hardly came about to blog.
So I shall sum it all up in this entry, mwahahaa.

**Anyways, you can scroll down to the previous post cause I've just updated the insect experiment PICTURES, just edited some things for you guys to see, especially the pictures, go see! :)

While I was away from blogging, SDJ had their Hari Koko.
I'm in the Interact Club where I like the students a lot but strongly dislike the teacher who seems to have a friggin' problem with me the minute we stood face to face. Actually, she has a problem with everyone, but it seems to be a bigger problem between the both of us.
Sighs, whatever.
When I entered their school, they've already made a decision to sell ice-cream.
Alright, so I was the cashier... of all positions -.-" I thought I just quit?

It was kinda hectic for me when I had to run half-way up and down because I was asked to perform. Apparently, my idol experiences seemed to have reached the Jaafarians here, so my whole plan of being anonymous had litterally failed me once more. So much for starting anew on low profile... big sighs.

Our Bio experiments...

French fries anyone? :)

Mel buat bodoh.

Linda and I :)

Sharifuddin, lol.
He always look like some big time manager or something xD

Su Peng! :D

It lasted for 2 days. The first day was damn hectic. The second day was dead.
But on the second day, I could stick around the whole day cause I had to attend this dance audition thingy where the competition will be held in KL, specifically, the Emerge Conference.
There I was thinking it was gonna be hip-hop... well well, surprise surprise... it's always like that, life's like that huh? Haha..

Actually, there will be a hip-hop routine where only THE BEST dancers who will be chosen will be taught so. But before they can make that decision, everyone has to learn this cheerleading routine where the best dancers will be chosen.

OMG.

CHEERLEADING?
MEL?
Bwahahahahahaaaa......... XD

I never imagined in my life that I'd cheerlead maannn...!
I really thought that it was so umm, bimbo-ish?
But after going for the practice, Mel is proven wrong again.
Some girls go bimbo-ish when they cheerlead cause it's how they want it to be.
Seriously, it depends on the dancer.

So, generally they've got the base, spotter and flyer during stunts.
Base - people step on you or you lift them up, or both.
Spotter - you help the flyer get up unto the base or catch them if they fall.
Flyer - you fly lar. LOL. well, you have to stand high of the ground, try your best not to fall, be extremely firm and stiff when lifted, thrown into the air and stuff... lol.

One of the dance instructors looked at me and asked me if I was willing to be a flyer.
WHAT?
LOL.

I thought she was joking but she insisted, I told her honestly that I wouldn't want the other dancers to suffer major injuries like broken hands or legs. Lol.
Can't she see that I fat? I may have 'the shape' lar but I'm seriously heavy okay, wahahaaa... XD
Personally, I don't fancy being the base larr, lol..
So, I got to be the spotter!
Yay! :D

Man, the stunts that you've got to kick up and everything is really challenging okay...
I had a whole new perspective of cheerleading after learning the routines and all.
Hey, there's always a first for everything :)

OH yeah, I found out just after Hari Koko that I'm in a haunted boys' school.
LOL.
Apparently, there are much freaky happenings and stories here, but honestly, I won't even bother giving the devil any credit for this.
But I believe in Jesus Christ, and as a believer I have power and authority over evil :)
Just remember that God's word is like a double-edged sword, use it well against the evil one.

You see, I'm trying to protect myself from getting the red-eye disease from my sis who got it from her schoolmate. She woke up one morning having difficulty opening her eyes, only to discover that her eyes were bloodshot-red with yellow pasts inside.

OMG.

Yeah, it was some serious infection, very contagious too, mum and Benroy kena liao.
Sighs.... Don't worry, sis is alright now. Cured.

Just yesterday, I FINALLY got to meet my darlings, En Ai and Eunice after ages!!
Oh boy, I missed them so much! We huggggged, talked, laughed hysterically, crapped silly, camwhored...
We had a ball of a time!
It was so nice hanging out again... :)

And today was the Festival of Arts 2007 organized by E.C.
Was so happy to see old faces again like Jess, Wanda, Alven, Sarah, Fareez, Wei-Xun, Sherwan, Belinda and many more... :)

awww....! :D

- courtesy of Jessica -

Well, we performed 2 songs,
"You and I Both" by Jason Mraz and
"I Don't Love You" by My Chemical Romance
.

Just as I got up unto that stage, I see three judges infront of me while I thought we were just asked to perform only. Clearly, it seems to be that it was actually some kinda of best performance competition thingy. Oh right, so whatever.

Since EC decided to award the winners this year with a voting scheme by the audiences, a lot of talented and great performances went home with nothing. Like most reality shows, kawan memang akan support kawan walaupun other performers HONESTLY deserve winning the prize, and I'm not referring to myself, please.

So when it was announced that SIGS' Sketch performance won the 1st prize, and everyone hailed loud "boo's". Ouch :( I really dunno what the girls felt though. Honestly, I was a little disappointed too cause I was really hoping Kareema claimed the 1st prize instead. Oh well, it's like American Idol, you can win if you've got a lot of friends and supporters present.
"Mary Must Die" by an EC-students band [the drummer and guitarist was great!] got 2nd and Sara & Leroy's duet won the 3rd prize.

EDIT: Sorry, it's "Mary Got Shot". Lol. Thanks Sue Lynn! :)

I was satisfied with our performance eventhough I had a sorethroat and Ben wasn't really doing his best on the guitar, drums were super duper awesome considering we didn't get to practice together! ;) but overall I must say that it wasn't bad at all, not bad at all :)
After the winners were awarded just before I could leave, one of the vote-counters caught me and said that he was pretty disappointed with the results because 60 people voted for SIGS, so they won.

"But...", he said "your performance was one of the top 3 highest scores by the judges, it's just that you didn't have much voters which were about 40 votes only... sighs"
Lol, aww... sweet guy, but it doesn't matter really.
The audience themselves know who kicked up a great performance, people know who was really good, they enjoyed what they've performed, then that's enough :)

Was encouraged by many who came up to me saying that our performance was awesome.
Thanks guys
;)

The past couple of weeks were hectic but hey, it's interesting and memorable :)
Gaahhh, need to claim a lot of pictures from various people.
Will edit when I do, so look out for it!

I think I'll go get my dinner now.
Take care and God bless!
*hugs and kisses*
